Hello, fellow writers and readers and generally lovers of words!

Today I have the honor of sharing a guest post from Aletheianna Mercy. This is her interview with Roseanna .M. White. She wrote Worthy of Legend, Dreams of Savannah, and many more! if you are interested in anything else please go here.

This post is part of a blog tour, and the next two posts are:

November 7th- HUGE ANNOUNCMENT with The Lamp Post

A note from Aletheianna: The HUGE ANNOUNCMENT is very, very exciting so keep your eyes open for that blog post, you won't want to miss it!

But let us tarry no longer. Here is the interview!

Question One: Do you have any advice on writing fantasy? I’ve never written it to have hands-on experience, but I know that both fantasy and my genre of historical actually share quite a bit in common—namely, both have to build a whole world for a reader who doesn’t live in it. My advice then is to spend time developing that world in your own mind, but then introducing it to the reader only as they need it, as your characters interact with it. Question Two: What legacy do you hope to leave behind in your writing? Do you want to be famous and lauded? My ultimate goal is that people will read my books and be changed by them, and that those changes will affect the families and communities of the people who are changed. Fame and glory are tempting, to be sure, but they can’t be my goal because I have zero control over that. All I can work toward and for is pouring my all into my writing and my marketing and then asking God to do what He wills with it. It’s a privilege to be a tool in my Lord’s toolbox for reaching the hearts and minds of humanity! Question Three: What do you love most about writing? The whole creative process! I get very cranky when I can’t be creative, LOL, and writing is my primary expression. We are, after all, made in the image of a creative God, so I figure it’s pretty natural that we thrive in creativity too! I love brainstorming and creating new worlds and people, I love wordsmithing and turning those ideas into something tangible, and I love the whole process of then sending those written words out into the world. Question Four: Who are your favorite writers? Some favorite classics are C. S. Lewis and L. M. Montgomery. Lori Wick and Francine Rivers then led me into Christian fiction. Maggie Stiefvater challenges me to be creative with my phrases, James S. A. Corey and Andy Wier expand my horizons with their sci-fi, Lori Benton and Jocelyn Green and Laura Frantz all stun me with their gorgeous historicals… and there are SO MANY more! Question Five: Are there any tools/resources that help you write better (e.g books, podcasts, software, apps, etc.)? I keep my system pretty simple—I write in Word, I don’t like background noise, I don’t do much consuming of craft blogs or podcasts or books. Though I have begun using Notion.so to organize a lot of my life, and I have found an old-fashion pocket calendar to be the most useful thing for juggling all my deadlines! Question Six: If there was one thing you wanted to stay in all the minds of the people who read your books, what would it be? That God loves you as He loves no one else, and He fashioned you exactly as He wanted you to be. He’ll speak to you in the way you can best hear Him; He’ll move through the other people who love Him to reach you. And He will also expect YOU to move to help THEM. I pray that my stories help demonstrate this amazing love of the King of kings.

Wasn't that beautiful? She did a simply wonderful job, if you are interested in anything more of Roseanna please go and check out the link above!

God bless you all!

Glory to God,
